Pairing: Holmes/Watson (others implied)

Summary: An AU of sorts.

After returning from the war, Watson wasn’t introduced to Holmes. Instead, his gambling took him on a downward spiral, and with his spirits and morale down and his wallet empty, he turned to crime of the dazzle-them-drug-them-leave-them variety. The delicacy of the matter leads to his victims – married women and rich men – calling on Holmes rather than on the police. Which is how Holmes and Watson meet. Since Holmes is somewhat fascinated by this well-educated gentleman criminal who clearly took a wrong turn somewhere, who reminds him a little of an early version of Irene Adler, Holmes offers Watson a deal: Watson puts himself under Holmes’ surveillance, returns the stolen goods and lends his medical expertise to Holmes’ pursuits; in return, Holmes won't turn Watson in.

At first, Watson doesn’t know Holmes very well; he seeks to manipulate Holmes by coming onto him, trying to find Holmes’ weak spots so he can exploit them and continue his gambling life unhindered, but Holmes doesn’t trust Watson enough to let him that close, and anyway, it doesn’t take too long for the whole thing to give Watson a new direction. Slowly, they learn to trust each other.

Also, there is jealousy! Watson met Irene at a party because they both work the same crowd, so to speak, and he's always admired her. But then she shows up at 221B one day and the obvious fact that she has a shared past with Holmes does not sit well with Watson. At all. And Holmes notices, of course, and he plays it up because it's a welcome diversion, a way to keep Watson oblivious to Holmes' growing affections. In addition, it gives Holmes an easy excuse to fend off Watson's advances. Because Holmes finds that it's increasingly hard to resist those advances.

Yes. The working title of this is decidedly not Crimes of Passion, thank you very much. Rating will be R or NC-17, and I hope I can get this done in less than 30’000 words, but it isn’t particularly likely.

As I'm not sure into how much detail we should go here, I hope this isn't too long. If it is, just delete the last two paragraphs. :)

summary: When Mary is poisoned in their own home, Watson knows there's only one person who he can rely on to help him solve the murder - but when Watson's house in Cavendish Place is blown up following her death, they both realise their pasts contains ghosts who won't stay dead.

...wow that sounds stupid.

...it's pretentious and overdramatic and you totally need a sports announcer saying it. that being said, it actually sounds terribly exciting and i can't wait.

pairing: holmes/watson

summary: Present-day city college AU. Sherlock Holmes is a 3rd year student without a major, without a purpose, who missed the housing applications and badly needs a roommate. John Watson just got discharged from the army because of a leg wound, and he plans to start medical school. He also badly needs a roommate.

So it's a Study in Scarlet story, only the plot is completely different, and Holmes isn't an independent investigator yet, he's just this kid who likes to hang around crime scenes and reads too many thriller novels (annoying the heck out of junior officer Lestrade, who would really like to do real police work but keeps getting told to 'get that guy out of here', which is no mean feat.) John is trying to reconnect with his previously long-distance girlfriend Mary, who has grown up while he was off serving and he doesn't quite recognize anymore.

This is all sort of nice and funny and all right, until a real mystery gets shoved right under their noses, and Holmes won't let them push him away this time.

(Also making an appearance are Mycroft, John's alcoholic goodfornothing brother Henry, criminal justice major and trombonist Stanley Hopkins, Irene almost-Norton Adler, and of course, Holmes's suspiciously wealthy astronomy professor.)

Author: oxymoronic
Pairing: Blackwood/Coward (yep, insanity right thar)
Summary: A story of their friendship and their animosity, from their meeting, through the film and after. (It is seriously very, very complex and yet the plot is really rather simple.) Probably will be done in 20-25k, hopefully won't take me much more.

Pairing: None
Summary: Holmes is semi-retired and inclined to stay that way when Victor Callahan of Special Branch knocks on his door and requests his help with a case of murder and suspected treason. Holmes agrees to investigate only under protest, after Callahan appeals to his puzzle-solving mind more than his patriotism. As the case progresses, it takes Holmes to some very dark places in his own life, and the detective becomes more and more erratic while Watson is powerless to help him. Feat: Victor Callahan, a fictional Special Branch chief, Miss Katherine, his paramour, and the shadow of Professor Moriarty. Explores the relationship between Holmes and Moriarty.

Pairing: Holmes/Watson

Summary: AU. After returning from the war, John Watson had managed to establish a perfectly normal, respectable life with a practice that, while not quite thriving, had paid his rent and kept him in his neighbours' good graces. Then came the criminal mastermind through the window with the bullet in his leg and the diamond heist stuck in limbo and, no matter what Watson said, he kept coming back. Watson never intended to become an accessory to international crime, but Sherlock Holmes was a man who always did exactly what he wanted, and it did not take long for Watson to realise that, once his problematic new friend let him in, there was really no getting out again.

Or, in short: that fic in which Holmes is a genius criminal, Watson is in a little over his head, and Victorian gentlemen do entirely ungentlemanly things for fun and profit.

Pairing: mostly gen (I feel so lonely!) but some tentative Watson/Mark (this is a genderswap)

Summary: "A Study in Scarlett": Modern-day, genderswapped AU. English major Jordan Watson isn't quite sure what she's in for when she finds out she's rooming next door to the enigmatic Shannon Holmes, a forensic chemistry major and amateur sleuth with a serious nicotine habit and a tendency for disappearing at all hours in various disguises. It becomes clear that there is much more to Holmes than it seems at first. Watson soon finds herself drawn to the handsome Mark Morgan, who comes to Holmes for advice when his internet mogul father disappears.

A sort of mash-up of The Sign of Four/A Study in Scarlet with a few other things thrown in, including modernized versions of other canonical characters. Probably PG-13/light R for language and violence. I've done other stories with these characters but nothing this long, so we'll see how this goes.

Pairing: As of the moment, it's Holmes/Irene with specks of Holmes/Watson.

Summary: Holmes and Watson are in between cases at the moment, enjoying a bit of time at home. Hilarity ensues when Holmes gets a special type of his wonder drug which pulls him into a second life - one in the present day as Nathan Ford. It doesn't help that in his band of thieves is Irene Adler and Watson along with being up against Moriatry. It doesn't help that Holmes is going back and forth in time with nobody to really understand what is happening to him. All he needs to do is find out how to put it right.

Why yes, this is a crossover between Sherlock Holmes and Leverage. *somewhat innocent look* It bit me late last night when I was searching for a plot bunny.

Pairing: Holmes/Watson, Perry/Harry
Summary: Sherlock Holmes x Kiss Kiss Bang Bang Crossover/Modern!AU.
Holmes and Watson are hired by Scotland Yard to catch a London-based American kidnapping ring. Meanwhile, back in Los Angeles, Harry Lockhart has vanished. His boss/SO, Perry Van Shrike, is the only one who suspects foul play. Are the two cases related or are they just coincidence?
Rating will probably be at least R. I have no clue as to length.

Pairing: Holmes/Watson bleeding into Watson/Morstan (and possibly Holmes/Adler)

Summary: A steampunk AU. In 1888, as King Edward VII lies dying, Holmes takes a case that leads him into direct conflict with a controversial but well-placed officer of His Majesty's Aery, to Scotland and back to London via the skies above. (And when Irene Adler, President Cleveland's best secret agent, shows up in Edinburgh with her own agenda, things get really interesting.)

Pairing: Holmes/Watson and real historical couple.
Summary: Within the first few years together.
A young handsome man comes to Holmes with a emotional case. He fears that someone will murder his mentor at his family's clan ball. Once Holmes and Watson hear the current clues this man holds, they believe that this is a very urgent case. They travel to the young man's family manor and find that their are too many secrets within the walls. With mentor's help, they also find that they have secrets between themselves as well that needed to be brought to light.

Will they be able to stop someone from pulling the trigger in enough time?

The teaser: The mentor is an infamous poet/playwright/author from that era.

Rating: R or NC-17

Author: Solitaire (soliandxpyne)
Pairing: Holmes/Watson
Summary: Trying not to give too much away, I will admit it's a Sherlock Holmes/The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde crossover.
There is little challenge for Holmes in figuring out that Jekyll and Hyde are, in fact, the same man. The affair is necessarily hushed up after Jekyll's death, and that should have been the end of it...until Jekyll's notes and remaining chemicals disappear under suspicious circumstances. Now Holmes must not only discover who has taken a sudden interest in the late Doctor's research and to what purpose, but must work against the clock to develop an antidote before irreparable havoc is wreaked.

(I should probably mention here that soliandxpyne is a joint account, and that my 'other half' Xpyne has agreed to do the art for this, yay. :D)

Summary: In a steampunk AU Europe Holmes and Watson come up against a crazed Russian madman, who has perverted Marie Curie's recent scientific advances to create atomic horrors; expect dirigibles, steam powered robots, alternative history, and lots of swashbucking manly adventuring with teh sexeh. Pairing: Holmes/Watson, Borden/Angier
Summary: Sherlock Holmes/The Prestige crossover. The rivalry between the two magicians has reached a dangerous level, so much so that Angier finally wants to end it once and for all. Knowing that Borden's weakness lies in his magic, he devises a plan to ruin him.
His plan is to hire Holmes to discover and steal the secret to Borden's most beloved trick. But what happens if Angier is wrong? What if Borden's weakness isn't the magic but something or someone else entirely? Can Holmes figure it out before the rivalry destroys them both?

(There is a limit to how many rhetorical questions one person can fit in a cheesy monologue, and I think I have managed to surpass it. I apologize, and promise this is not as bad as it sounds.)

Pairing: Multiple variations of Holmes/Watson/Mary, culminating in OT3-ness!

TENTATIVE RAMBLING SUMMARY: The good guys lose, and they catch Watson during the failed rescue, and Blackwood's ritual actually works, but there are Technicalities(tm) to his new magic powers! And then 500 days later Watson's imprisoned and his job is to get these 'random' poison victims tossed at him and try to make an antidote before they die, which is nearly impossible, and Holmes is going crazy if not there already and trying to lead the resistance without going all the way off the deep end AND trying to figure out why the hell Blackwood's so involved with chemical warfare when he can kill you with his brain, and Mary's a governess for a family that is super-involved with the Order and she has to teach its precepts to wee baby children and there's some guy named Mr. Taylor who says he can save Watson if she helps Blackwood finally break his will completely! Oh, the drama! How ever will our protagonists reach their OT3 status?!

Pairings: Holmes/Watson with some Watson/Mary but...gen-ish?

TENTATIVE summary: Set after the events of the 2009 movie, only Holmes is a vampire. Holmes is approached by a faerie king, which is unusual because the faeries make it very clear that they don't want anything to do with the undead. However, Homes is asked to uncover the identity of whoever is breaking seals to the prison that holds Merlin. It becomes a race against time to not only figure out what the seals are, but to stop the final three being broken, as unleashing a crazy sorcerer with a beef against the monarchy on Britain would be a very, very bad idea. Doubly so when it appears that Mordred is back in town.

Will totally contain vampires, faeries, and zombies. :D

Author: ember_firedrake
Pairing: Holmes/Watson
Tentative Summary: This is an AU/fusion with Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials, where everybody has a daemon (animal manifestation of soul) to accompany them. Watson has a female Irish Wolfhound daemon, and Holmes has a male fox daemon (very rare in Pullman's world for daemons to be the same gender as their person). The story will center around Holmes' search for Moriarty, with Holmes and Watson eventually discovering that Moriarty is working for the General Oblation Board, helping them research methods of intercision (splitting a person from their daemon). The story will involve lots of hurt/comfort and angst, and hopefully plenty of intrigue. Rating will be around an R.
